Short Description

The State of New Jersey’s Automated Trial Court Services Unit (NJATCSU) is seeking a Tableau BI Analyst to create detailed requirements for reports and dashboards and document and support the completed products. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of interviewing SMEs and business users, 5+ years of analyzing reports and dashboards, and 5+ years of creating detailed requirements for reports and dashboards.

* This position may require some travel to site location in Trenton, New Jersey.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience interviewing subject matter experts and business users to elicit requirements
• 5+ years of experience analyzing existing reports and dashboards for enhancement, consolidation, or replacement
• 5+ years of experience creating detailed requirements for reports and dashboards including business rules, data mappings, visualizations, mockups, basic summary statistics and drill-downs
• 5+ years of experience providing report and dashboard requirements to technical teams
• 5+ years of experience testing reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy
• 5+ years of experience ensuring reference data is incorporated into the reports and dashboards
• 5+ years of experience creating end-user documentation for reports and dashboards
• 5+ years of experience supporting end-users with the reports and dashboards including troubleshooting and facilitating enhancements
• 3+ years of experience utilizing SQL to query the raw system data
• 3+ years of experience analyzing raw system data to ensure the report and dashboard requirements account for the data issues
• 3+ years of experience working with business teams to improve quality of data

Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

• 2+ years of experience with Tableau
• 2+ months of experience assisting with the development of end-user training materials and conducting training on the reports and dashboards

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of interviewing SMEs and business users, 5+ years of analyzing reports and dashboards, and 5+ years of creating detailed requirements for reports and dashboards.

The Tableau BI Analyst will be tasked to:

• Assess and understand the business needs
• Document and support the completed products
• Apply excellent communication skills
• Apply attention-to-detail skills
• Interview subject matter experts and business users to elicit requirements
• Analyze existing reports and dashboards for enhancement, consolidation, or replacement
• Create detailed requirements for reports and dashboards including business rules, data mappings, visualizations, mockups, basic summary statistics and drill-downs
• Provide report and dashboard requirements to technical teams
• Utilize SQL to query raw system data
• Analyze raw system data to ensure report and dashboard requirements account for the data issues
• Collaborate with the business and technical teams to improve the data quality
• Test the reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy
• Ensure the reference data is incorporated into the reports and dashboards
• Create end-user documentation for the reports and dashboards
• Assist with the development of the end-user training materials
• Conduct training on the reports and dashboards
• Support end-users with reports and dashboards including troubleshooting and facilitating enhancements
