Short Description

The District of Columbia’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is seeking a SQLServer DBA/Developer to provide database support and management of the backend Microsoft SQL Server DBMS. The ideal candidate will possess 13+ years of SQL experience, 12+ years of database design, documentation, and coding, and 12+ years of designing and implementing reports and report interfaces.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 13+ years of experience with SQL
• 12+ years of experience with database design, documentation, and coding
• 12+ years of experience with data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, and performance tuning
• 12+ years of experience designing and implementing reports and report interfaces
• 12+ years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio
• 10+ years of experience with one of the following: Java, Python, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Jenkins on a Windows platforms
• 8+ years of experience developing ETL processes to support the transmission of data to third party systems
• 8+ years of experience creating ad hoc queries for business units

Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

• 8+ years of experience with SSRS and SSIS

The District of Columbia’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is seeking a SQLServer DBA/Developer to provide database support and management of the backend Microsoft SQL Server DBMS. The ideal candidate will possess 13+ years of SQL experience, 12+ years of database design, documentation, and coding, and 12+ years of designing and implementing reports and report interfaces.

The SQLServer DBA/Developer will be tasked to:

• Apply expert knowledge of the MS SQL environment
• Provide database administration optimization, analysis, design, and support
• Manage the backend Microsoft SQL Server DBMS
• Deploy and maintain the MS SQL Server database environment
• Develop and implement ETL processes to support the transmission of data to third party systems
• Provide data-related analysis including ad hoc queries for business units
• Monitor the database environment to ensure DBMS is running efficiently
