The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking a J2EE Developer to assist with development of the Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool. The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years developing, testing, and implementing web applications, 4+ years with Java and J2EE, and 3+ years with JQuery and Bootstrap.

* The candidate must physically report to the on-site location for first day processing, possible badging, and to pick up commonwealth-issued equipment.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience developing, testing, and implementing web applications
• 4+ years of experience with Java and J2EE
• 3+ years of experience with JQuery and Bootstrap
• 1+ years of experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or DB2
• 1+ years of experience with Angular JS and REACT JS
• 1+ years of experience using strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

Complete Description

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking a J2EE Developer to assist with development of the Pennsylvania Crash Information Tool. The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years developing, testing, and implementing web applications, 4+ years with Java and J2EE, and 3+ years with JQuery and Bootstrap.

The J2EE Developer will be tasked to:

• Develop J2EE, working in a JBoss environment
• Analyze databases using Oracle PL/SQL
• Maintain tables, views, queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal supervision
• Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services and products
• Use best practices and standards needed to develop the PCIT site
• Display a thorough knowledge of website security standards, common website security flaws, and best practices to prevent intrusions
• Assist in designing, developing, and implementing application infrastructure to provide highly complex, reliable, secure, and scalable applications
• Analyze and write Java code, Java script, Oracle PL/SQL, and stored procedures
• Work with the architect and senior developer to revise the existing PCIT program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
• Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot and help choose appropriate solution to fix data related issues
• Develop Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, functions, views, and complex analytical queries
• Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, accessibility tools, security testing tools, and any environment specific tools to create, test, and implement an application
• Work with stakeholders, manager, architect, and senior developer to ensure projects are completed on time and according to organization standards
