The State of New Jersey’s Department of Health (NJDOH) is seeking a Cloud Cyber Security Engineer to audit and apply security controls to existing and future cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years with AWS or Azure, 3+ years in a cyber security related role, and 3+ years of implementing firewalls and Access Control Lists.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with AWS or Azure
• 3+ years of experience in a cyber security related role
• 3+ years of experience implementing firewalls and Access Control Lists
• 1+ years of experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS)

Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with Network Protocols
• 3+ years of experience writing and debugging Python
• 3+ years of experience hardening cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience with NIST Controls
• 2+ years of experience with SIEM
• 1+ years of experience with WAF

The State of New Jersey’s Department of Health (NJDOH) is seeking a Cloud Cyber Security Engineer to audit and apply security controls to existing and future cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years with AWS or Azure, 3+ years in a cyber security related role, and 3+ years of implementing firewalls and Access Control Lists.

The Cloud Cyber Security Engineer will be tasked to:

• Audit and apply security controls to existing and future cloud environments
• Implement a Policy as Code approach to security and integrate security notifications with existing solutions like SIEM and EDR
• Plan, document, and implement controls with minimal guidance and/or training
• Employ the following AWS skills: Security Hub, GuardDuty, Certificate Manager, Secrets Manager, IAM, CloudTrail, SNS, SES, and Security Groups
• Employ the following Azure skills: Security Center, Advisor, Network Security Groups, Resource Groups
